Privacy Policy for Poker Puzzles

We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how information is collected, used, and disclosed when you use the Poker Puzzles mobile application.

1. Information We Collect

Poker Puzzles does not collect personally identifiable information such as your name, email address, or phone number when you use the app in its default configuration.

However, the app uses third-party services that may collect certain data automatically, including:

• Advertising Data: The app uses Google AdMob to display advertisements. AdMob may collect device identifiers (such as Apple’s IDFA), approximate location (e.g., country or region), and ad interaction data.
• Usage Data (Analytics): The app sends behavioral analytics events to Firebase Analytics (an analytics instance ID is generated) to understand how the app is used. Events include feature usage and engagement metrics.
• Diagnostics: Crash logs and performance data related to app stability and ad delivery.

This data may be associated with a device identifier and is handled by third parties in accordance with their privacy policies.

Poker Puzzles also uses Firebase services to support optional leaderboard, badge, and Feedback Board features. The app creates an anonymous device/install identifier using Firebase Anonymous Authentication (an anonymous UID) to enable these optional features.

The app stores the following data in Cloud Firestore associated with the anonymous identifier:

• Country: Derived from your device locale/settings (not GPS location or IP address).
• Unlocked badges: A list of badge IDs you have earned.
• Per-mode high scores: High score records for leaderboard features.
• Feedback Board (user-submitted free text): Optional feedback posts you create. Each feedback item may include a title, free-form body text (the arbitrary text you type), a category, a status field, timestamps (created/updated), and vote counts. Feedback items and votes are stored in Cloud Firestore.

Important: the same Firebase Anonymous Auth UID that is used for leaderboards and badges is also attached to feedback submissions and to vote activity. In other words, the anonymous identifier now links freeform content and votes to the same anonymous account used for scores and badges.

2. How We Use Information

Information collected through the app is used for the following purposes:

• To display advertisements and support the app
• To understand ad performance and improve user experience
• To monitor app performance and diagnose crashes
• To track in-game progress and high scores locally on your device and, when you opt into leaderboards/badges, to store and display scores and badges via Cloud Firestore
• To support optional leaderboard, badge, and Feedback Board features
• To analyze app usage and improve features

3. Public Visibility of Feedback and Votes

Feedback items you submit (title and free-form body text), their category, status, and the associated vote counts are readable by any user of the app. Vote activity associated with anonymous UIDs is also visible to app users. Feedback and vote activity are not only visible in aggregate — the full text you submit is publicly viewable by other users of the app if the feature's read rules allow it.

If you do not use the Feedback Board, its data is not collected or uploaded.

4. Optional-Feature Framing: Feedback Board

The Feedback Board is an optional feature of Poker Puzzles. You do not need to use it to run or play the app. If you choose to use it, the app collects and stores the following information for each feedback submission:

• Title and body (user-submitted free-form text)
• Category and status metadata
• Your anonymous identifier (Firebase Anonymous Auth UID) as authorUid
• Timestamps (created_at, updated_at)
• Vote counts and per-anonymous-user vote records

All Feedback Board data is stored in Cloud Firestore. The feature is optional and turning it off or not using it will prevent these uploads.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. However, third-party services process data as described below:

• Google AdMob: Processes advertising and ad interaction data. See Google's privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy
• Firebase / Google Cloud: Cloud services used by the app to store anonymous identifiers, badges, leaderboard scores, feedback items, and votes in Cloud Firestore, and to collect analytics and remote configuration.

6. Data Retention and Deletion

Data stored locally on your device (game progress, local settings) persists on your device until you clear the app data or uninstall the app. Data stored in Cloud Firestore (anonymous UID, country, badges, leaderboards, feedback items, votes) is retained on the server.

Important note about deletion: In the current v1 implementation there is no in-app or client-side flow that allows deletion of individual feedback items by users. Firestore security rules currently deny delete on feedback documents, so feedback documents are not deletable from the client. If you request deletion of server-side data associated with your anonymous identifier, the deletion must be performed manually by the app operator (for example, by removing documents via the Firebase Console or other administrative tooling). Please contact us (see Contact section) to request deletion and include the anonymous UID and any identifying details about the feedback item you want removed. Because the identifier is anonymous, we may need additional information to locate the correct records.

7. Your Choices

Depending on your device settings, you may be able to limit ad tracking by adjusting your privacy settings on your device. You may also control whether personalized ads are shown through system controls where available.

If you clear the app's local data or uninstall the app, any local-only data will be removed from your device, but data already uploaded to Cloud Firestore (leaderboards, badges, country, feedback, votes) will remain on the server until deleted via the manual process described above.

8. Firebase Remote Config

The app uses Firebase Remote Config to fetch remote configuration for version gating and feature flags. Remote Config requests send basic app and platform information to Firebase.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected by updating the effective date above.
